August 23 Make up date for Williams Lake

Many thanks to the members and executive of Thunder Mountain Speedway for working hard to have the Advance Testing Late Model Tour back to the Lake town after an unfortunate rain out both days. The club stepped up and added 2500 to the purse on the August 23 date, as a thank you to all of the committed racers for hanging in there trying hard both days to put on the show. The total purse for that weekend will be 15000 dollars, the highest one day purse in the history of the series. The August date is the memorial race, and will be a great time to remember fallen racers, and put on a show to remember for the fans.Looking forward to a great weekend of racing

Mother Nature takes the checkered

For the first time in close to 15 years, the Advance Testing Late Model Tour was rained out both days. The 24 car field along with officials, Thunder Mountain volunteers and some of the most loyal fans in racing, braved the on and off showers and hours of track drying to get two heats and qualifying completed before the rain shut it down. Capturing fast time was Logan Jewel in the 92 MacCarthy GM Chevrolet, with a picture perfect lap around the tricky oval.  C heat was won by Steve Hancock, and B heat by the 22 Ford of Chris Babcock. Rain cancelled the A heat. A huge thanks to everyone for working together and trying everything possible to get the race in. We are currently working on a rescheduled date at Thunder Mountain Speedway.     

Tried, but no luck

Thanks to all of the fans and racers who braved the rain this weekend. Also thanks to thunder mountain speedway and their volunteers for working so hard to try to get in done both days. First time in a Very long time we have had a complete rainout.

23 advance testing late models ready for race 1

PRACTICE FRIDAY NIGHT

Due to the wet weather both days in Williams Lake, The Speedway will be having a Friday night open practice from 5 pm until 8 pm. Gates will open at 4:30.
